Dr. Rustin Hawker was born and raised in Middleton, Idaho. After graduating from Middleton high school, he served an LDS mission in Southern California where he learned to speak Spanish. Upon returning home Dr. Hawker enrolled at the College of Western Idaho for their inaugural year. After finishing at CWI, he completed his bachelor’s degree at Brigham Young University Idaho and later was accepted into the University of Utah Dental School where he received his Doctorate of Dental Surgery.

After graduation from dental school, he and his family moved to New Mexico. While working in New Mexico there was a lack of specialists serving in the area. This pushed Dr. Hawker to grow and expand his skills in serving his patients by providing them with more in-house treatments. He finds joy in helping his patients love their smile. Because Dr. Hawker strongly believes that you are never done learning, each year he enjoys taking multiple continuing education courses. Courses have included education in dental implants, sedation, sleep apnea and root canals. He is always looking for opportunities to provide superior and more modern treatment options for his patients.

Dr. Hawker enjoys his healthcare profession, but that doesn’t come close to his favorite responsibilities of being a father and a husband. He and his wife love raising their three daughters and son. Serving our veterans is also something that Dr. Hawker has been very passionate about. He feels forever grateful for their selfless service and wants to help them receive the treatment they so greatly deserve. Some of Dr. Hawker’s favorite things are exploring new places with his family, working on their hobby farm, hunting, mountain biking, running races and being outdoors.
